Relax Inn sits in a great spot for road-trippers: park your car at your door, then walk to dinner. Here's the lay of the land.
Quick chains (under 5 minutes on foot)
- Sonic Drive-In — burgers, shakes, that retro Route 66 vibe
- Taco Bell — fast and reliable
- Culver's — cheaper than any sit-down, the cheese curds are legit
Grocery + supplies (5-10 minutes)
- Fry's Food and Drug — full grocery store. Stock up on water, snacks, and ice for the cooler.
- Sam's Club — bulk only. Useful if you're traveling with a crew.
Sit-down spots (10-15 minutes)
A bit further but still walkable. We've got recommendations at the front desk for current favorites — Mexican, Thai, and a couple of brewpubs are all within range.
Want a real local meal?
Drive 5 minutes downtown to Heritage Square — Pizzicletta (wood-fired pizza), Tinderbox Kitchen (modern American), and Tourist Home All Day Cafe (breakfast all day). All worth the short drive.
Coffee in the morning
The motel has in-room coffee in every room. If you want something better, Macy's European Coffee House downtown opens at 6 AM and has the best espresso in Flagstaff. 5-minute drive.
